Hello, my name is Ted Altenberg. I was a proud SVFT member and teacher at Washingtn Middle School from 1998–2007, and
though I have since left SUHSD, I am still very happy and proud to serve as SVFT webmaster. I believe strongly in the power
of the Internet as a tool for communication —and for union organizing! I hope to help make this website a useful
resource for all SVFT members, and I hope I can count on your help in that effort.
We (the Executive Board and I) hope to completely rebuild the website this school year, 2008–2009, adding more
“Web 2.0” interactive features, such as blog, forum, email lists, surveys, etc. (We are also considering a members-only
password-protected section, but it is so hard to successfully maintain password privacy, this may not be feasible.) The website
will be rebuilt using php includes and scripting. (See the beta web page at
www.svft.net/new/.)
